Our Staff

David is one of the third generation of the Hennis family. He has worked as licensed administrator at Hennis Care Centre since 1980. He also grew up in the business working as an aide, in dietary, maintenance, and laundry. David received his BA degree in education from West Liberty State College. He is past president of the Ohio Health Care Association and still an active board member. David is co-owner of Hennis Care Centre of Dover and owns Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar.

Paula Hennis-Sickinger is the Director of Public Relations for both the Dover and Bolivar locations. Paula is one of the third generation, daughter of Harry and Pat. She has worked at HCC since 1978. She “grew up” with the business, traveling to work with her parents as a youngster, and working in the dietary department and doing yard work as a teenager. Paula graduated from the University of Akron in 1986 with a BA in Social Work. She worked in that role for several years. Paula now works in public relations & marketing capacity, as well as in an administrative function. She also handles/over-sees multiple fundraising projects throughout the year.

Kim Zontini is the Administrator of Hennis Care Centre Bolivar. She began her career in 1996 with the company in Dover as a Nurse Tech, then moved on as a Registered Nurse, and Sub Acute Case Manager. When Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar opened in 2000, she worked in Marketing and as the Admissions Case Manager for both facilities. Shortly thereafter, she began her career as Director of Nursing Services for Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar for over three years. Kim completed an Associate Degree in Applied Science and Nursing at Kent State University in 1996 and obtained licensure as a Registered Nurse. In 2004 she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management at Malone College. In 2005, Kim successfully completed the Core of Knowledge program at Ohio State University and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Jessica Baker has been the Controller at Hennis Care Centre, which involves both facilities, since 2021. 

Nicole Jones, RN is the Director of Nursing for Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar. She transferred to Bolivar from Hennis Care Centre in Dover in April 2013. She joined the Hennis team in 1997 to start her nursing career. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Kent State University also in 1997. Nicole has held various positions with Hennis (Dover) that include nurse tech/aide, floor nurse on the Rehab and the Homestead units, charge nurse on the Rehab unit, and Unit Manager of the Rehab and  Gardens unit.   

Teresa J. Carlson, OTR/L, ABDA , as been an employee with Hennis since May 2000. She is the Director of Therapy for Hennis Care Centre Bolivar. She graduated from Cleveland State University in 1992 and has over 10 years experience in geriatric care. Her background is in home health and geriatric rehabilitation. Teresa has been able to develop her interest in specializing in geriatric cognition by serving on the international board of the Allen Cognitive Advisors, working closely with Cognitive Specialist, Claudia K Allen, MA. OTR, FAOTA. Teresa continue to develop her interest in serving Hennis Care Centre residents and family members by providing them with a thorough Occupational Therapy Evaluation using the latest tools and modalities such as Anodyne Therapy. She also enjoys working with resident and their family by providing a Home Safety Evaluation to ensure that Hennis Care Centre patients go home and stay home,… safely.

Brian W. McClain, M.D is the CEO of V101 Management Services. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and a certified wound care specialist.

 

Dr. McClain has a special interest in post-acute and long-term care and has chosen to devote his most recent time and resources on development of that health care arena. Although he has practiced in this environment for most of his medical career, Dr. McClain sees the need for focused expertise as health care reform and quality indicators become the measure of great medical care.

 

Dr. McClain is a graduate of Medical College of Ohio and completed his residency at Summa Healthcare.  He is involved with many professional organizations such as, Diplomat of American Board of Internal Medicine, Board of Directors Stark County Medical Association, Board of Directors Aultman Management Service Organization, a member of Ohio State Medical Society, a member of American College of Physicians and a member of American Medical Directors Association.

Bartt K. Hughes, MS, RD, LD, joined Hennis Care Centre of Dover and Bolivar in November 2002. He attended Appalachian State University in North Carolina and then graduated from Ohio State with a Masters of Science in Medical Dietetics. He worked in the dietary department at the Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina, followed by working at the OSU Medical Center for two years while completing his Masters degree. Bartt is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Ohio Dietetics Association and Gerontological ADA Professional Practice Group.

Nicole Patrick started her career with Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar in June of 2004. She first started out as a STNA on the Gardens unit. In 2006 she obtained her Practical Nursing Licensure from Buckeye Career Centre School of Practical Nursing. She then worked as a floor nurse on the Rehab Unit until 2008 when she became the Rehab Desk Nurse and Wound nurse. In 2010, Nicole earned her Registered Nurse Degree from Excelsior College . She is currently the Unit Manager on the Rehab Unit.

 

Beth Wade is the Homestead Unit Manager. She has been with Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar since December of 2000. Beth obtained her LPN license from Canton City School of Nursing in 1997. She worked as a charge nurse on the floor until she became the Unit Manager on the Homestead Unit in 2006. She worked for several years as Unit Manager of the Rehab Unit and recently she rejoined the Homestead as Unit Manager in 2011. She has her "Train the Trainer" certificate and assists in the training of the State Trained Nursing Assistants.

Abby Haugh began her career with Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar in October 2000.  She started as a Hostess in the Culinary Department. She became a State Tested Nurse Aide in 2002.   In 2009 she became the Dining Room Manager.  As of October 2015, she became the Activities Director /Dining Room Manager.  Abby earned her MEPAP accreditation from the Activity Directors Network in 2017. 

Tammy Fouts has been with Hennis Care Centre of Dover for over 26 years!  She has worked as an STNA, STNA team leader and medical records.  She worked as the Therapy transporter for three years followed by Therapy coordinator for fifteen years before accepting her new position as Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor.  Tammy has been honored by the Ohio Health Association as a "Hometown Hero".
