Sharon Jackson

Sharon Jackson started with Hennis Care Centre in June 2001.   She received her Associates Degree of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology in 1998 at Stark State College of Technology.  Sharon worked in Long Term Care/Skilled Rehab since 1998, first as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.  She worked in the therapy department and as a program designer to integrate a therapy based tool, "The Allen", into nursing to enhance the care of our residents with dementia. Sharon then became an "Unconventional" Unit Manager for our Homestead unit in Bolivar for 4 years.  Her current position is Case Management/Admissions/Marketing in Bolivar.  Sharon is very involved with Nursing, Therapy & Activities and continues to develop the way we use the Allen tool.  She also presents ongoing education to our staff demonstrating the practical ways the Allen tool can create a "Kinder" way to care for residents with cognitive impairments.
