Hennis offers a choice when it comes to your lifestyle and needs.  Because our residents are so incredibly special to us, we want to ensure that each person is living the best "style of living" that they can be.

Therefore, we offer at both Dover and Bolivar "The Gardens" lifestyle for those looking for Assisted Living options, "The Homestead" lifestyle for our dementia residents and our "Rehab" lifestyle which focuses on strengthening the mind and body for a return home.

The Gardens Lifestyle

This unit provides a home like environment with lots of opportunity for resident's to "blossom" in their current setting.  There are many social opportunities and activities to meet other residents and form friendships.  Hobbies and interests are encouraged and continued.  Many residents get back into hobbies and community activities they haven't participated in for years.  There are frequent and varied occasions for families to come in and enjoy their loved ones new home with them.

The Homestead Lifestyle

This is a family environment based unit designed to focus on the resident, who they are and the abilities and talents  that remain with them, not the unfortunate disease which has affected their cognitive ability.  Family involvement is welcomed so we can have as much background about your loved ones as possible.  Individualized activity programs are developed to focus on remaining abilities and past interests of the resident.

The Rehab Lifestyle

Our focus on this unit is to help resident's regain their strength and abilities to return home.  We also teach residents or caregiver's some adaptations to make to make their return home safe and manageable.  We educate residents and families about services available in the community and then make arrangement for those services prior to returning home.  Most importantly we are here to encourage, care and listen, in the difficult times.
